What's in the Beginners Course The Beginners Course consists of 20 lessons that present the basic workings of the syntax. Through simple texts, the course treats the following topics:   I am, you are...   How to read and write Hebrew   Gender and plural   The present tense   The definite article and the possesive (the, my)   The demonstrative (this, that), the adjectives   The interrogative (who, what, where, when, why, which, how, how much, do you)     Prepositions (in, on, at, from, under, before, after, between, in front of, like)   I have, I can, I need, I should, can't, needn't, shoudn't   Introducing clauses: that, who, whom   Personal endings   Numbers, time, age   Basic vocabulary and many verbs By the end of the Beginners Course... ...you will hopefully have a good understanding of non-vocalized text reading, of the sentence structure, of the basic elements that drive the syntax, and of the verbs in present tense (other tenses are covered in the Intermediate Course). In addition, you will know hundreds of words presented in the lessons, the dictionary, the "A Hebrew Word a Day" editions, and the collection of practical sentences.
